The South Windsor Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This means that our programs provide a safe and healthy environment for children, have teachers who are well-trained, have access to excellent teaching materials, and work with a curriculum that is appropriately challenging and developmentally sound.
Each of our programs offer strong play-based learning, an emphasis on time in nature, and academic building blocks to support our students’ success. Teachers work with families to provide an environment that meets each student’s individualized needs while challenging them to grow.
Toddlers
Our toddler classrooms establish building blocks for a lifetime of learning. Educators guide students at this critical age to develop, communicate, and meet milestones. We nurture and celebrate little personalities while helping students reach for new goals.

Preschool
Our preschool program prepares children to transition successfully to kindergarten. Students foster social-emotional skills, critical thinking, and early literacy. Preschool teachers work to foster the wholistic development of children in a supportive and fun environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can we enroll part-time?
Enrollment is available Monday through Friday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, or Tuesday/Thursday. We offer only full day enrollments.
How many classrooms of each grade level are there?
We have two toddler classrooms and three preschool classrooms.
Do you use an app for communicating with families?
Yes! We use the app ProCare for activity and photo updates as well as for our tuition processing.
What are the program hours?
All programs offer the hours of 7am-6pm.
How do families and educators work together?
Educators connect with families daily to partner on student success. And the center also has a standard parent-teacher conference process to discuss student progress and goals.
Is food provided by the center?
Each of our programs include two healthy snacks a day. Lunch is provided by families.
